Italian Pasta Salad

A Fast & Easy Chilled Pasta Dish, Featuring Arrezzio® Ziti Pasta Combined with Halved Grape Tomatoes, Italian Seasoning and Extra Virgin Olive Oil.


  • 1 LB Arrezzio® Classic Italian Ziti – SUPC: 5204579, uncooked
  • 1 tbls Salt for water
  • 1 Pint Cherry Tomatoes, halved width wise
  • 6-8 Leaves Fresh Basil, large; rough chopped or torn
  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning or Oregano
  • 3 tbls Arrezzio® Extra Virgin Olive Oil; to taste
  • 4 oz. Balsamic Vinegar, Dark or White
  • Kosher Salt; to taste
  • Cracked Black Pepper, to taste


  1. Bring 5 quarts water to a boil; add 1 TBLS of salt and the pasta. Cook until 1-2 minutes SHORT of al dente; approximately 6-7 minutes, stirring often to prevent sticking.
  2. Drain, then plunge pasta into an ice bath to stop the cooking process.
  3. Add a drizzle of Olive Oil to “dress” the pasta and place under refrigeration until 41F.
  4. Halve the grape tomatoes and place them into the bowl with the chilled pasta. 
  5. Add the torn Basil, EVOO and Italian Seasoning.
  6. Add Kosher salt and fresh cracked Pepper to taste. Fold pasta and ingredients together gently.
